Yes and no. There was a massive flood in the middle east some 6000 yearsxago. It was not worldwide and no bloke crammed all off the animals into a boat for a forty day cruise. This is clearly impossible. There are eight or nine oyther flood stories aside from the genesis one all seemly based on the same events but with different character names and methods of dealing with it. One bloke just took all the animals to the top of a mountain. Something happened no one knows exactly what so they just made the rest up to suit their own ends.

There definitely have been many major floods in the history of mankind, in all cultures. However I do not believe in the Biblical story of the Ark, Noah and his family, and the "two-by-twos" of animals.

The closest we have scientifically are what's known as "Mitochondrial Eve" and "Y-chromosomal Adam."

except for the genetic diversity today
im sure he could have brought two of every animal on board the boat would sure have to be big i mean 40 days thats an awful long time to go without food

im also sure he went to every continent to pick up two of every animal also penguins and polar bears

yeah and i would bet that the whole world flooded for just 40 days cause as we all know the earth doesnt really have a set system for water more is just made and falls from the sky at random there no such thing as the water cycle

Heck yes I do! There are versions of that story in almost every ancient covolization on earth that are recorded in archeological findings.
