Hashim Thaci prime minister of neighboring country Kosova has said that:
"Priština is prepared to recognize Serbia’s independence and of course it will ask the same – that Belgrade recognizes the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo – for the good of the country, peace and stability in the region, and investment and global security.“

Serbia is an independent sovereign state, member of the UN, generally recognized as such in the same manner as any other country (US, Germany, UK, France, Poland, etc.).

Majority of countries have diplomatic relations with Serbia and have an embassy in Belgrade.

It's not up to Hashim Thaci, or any other politician for that matter, to determine whether Serbia would or would not be recognized. It already is.
The question is, who will recognize Kosovo as an independent state after the expected self-proclaimed declaration of independence. As of now, Kosovo is officially a territory of Republic of Serbia, and enjoys certain degree of autonomy. It is now under UN administration. But it is not an independent state in a way that Serbia is. |

Hmmmm..pretty childish. Serbia is a sovereign nation. Kosovo is a a region overrun by Muslims who want to steal the land. Kosovo should be put under martial law until the migrants get sent back to where they belong. |
