I am going to apply for family reunion visa for spain but the embassy of spain is closed and they are not accepting applications for family cases. i sent them email but they did not give me the reason except they said, visa section is closed for indefinate period. Thanking you in advance for your assistance in this matter plz?

perhaps for security reason?
you need to apply to another embassy, since the holidays are nearing;
why not try Portugal since it is real close to Spain,
but remember ? you must enter by Portugal first if you do get a visa.
