Does anybody know how to file a complaint about a U.S. Embassy abroad?

I am a natural born U.S. citizen and both my children were born in Panama and have their CROBA (citizens report of birth abroad) & U.S.Passport,I filed for my wife in January and after being told around a two month waiting period it is now 6 months to a year,I cant believe how the embassy employees treat people and how aloof and uncaring they present themselves and generally are immune from some fair minded supervision & most are not native tongue english speakers which I suspect opens up other problems for Americans seeking services in their own embassy they pretty much can tell you what ever comes to the top of their head one day and then the next day change it or flat out say they never said that.I am a Latin American and am ashamed at how integrity and some kind of proffessional service is totally lacking in our U.S Embassy in Panama and have found it to be exactly the opposite of what Gearge Bush stated in one of his speeches about assisting Americans when they need it the most.

I suggest you get the name of the Chief of this section and bcc a copy to the Deputy Chief of Mission, Luis Arreaga-Rodas, Just be sure you have solid evidence and not just hurt feelings.**

You could also contact your member of congress as well as your senator. Also you can write the Secretary of State, and express your displeasure with the Embassy.

Hey no offense or anything, but welcome to dealing with the Federal Government! They do not care about you, just pay your taxes and go about your business.

Generally for your spouses Immigration visa it is 6 months minimum. The embassy just conducts the interview and ultimately the consular officer has the final decision under the law. Another thing is, just play the game with the consul or you may get nowhere fast.

USCIS probably hasnt sent her file to them yet . In all actuality this is probably your reason for holdup.

Send your complaint to the Office of the President of the US because he has direct supervision of all embassy personnel.

Well I cant tell you that they are not organize and mean. I am a U.S. Citizen born in Panama. When I had my kids I went to apply for a tourist visa and they denied it (I AM A FREAKING CITIZEN YOU DUMB HEADS) By law I could claim my kids as US citizens, but I just wanted to go to Disney World. I requested an Interview with the Counsul and I was able to solve my Issue..I went the PANAMANIAN way, I spoke out loud and send them to hell and got what I needed..I feel that this people that work at the embassy just want to show off and pretend they are GOD..I hate them...Write a letter to the Consul and a copy to the International Affair Office of the White House..THat wont be very good for the Panamanian Embassy workers!!!

I am an American living in Kuwait and I have to get in line and be told by and Arab to get in line. Or when it comes to making a visa for my kids info not given until I am at embassy what other forms need to be filled.
