find the # mairie # home page on line .and ask for a birth certificate , or if you have any relative living in your birth city, they can retrieve one for you ;
you can also write a letter to your birth # mairie # in France , they are no fees for birth certificate , perhaps for mailing it back to you ? not sure anymore ......if you do write them ? be sure to enclosed a return envelope with your address in the USA

Yeah youre going to have to contact the local government there and get the proper forms to fill out. You may have to be there in person because sometimes they require a signature with a witness. |

You can ask online from the city council (mairie) where you were born, at the etat civil department. They'll mail it to you.
You can get it in French or ask for a multilingual certificate. |

Just write to the town in France were the person was born . it may cost a few euro bucks to get it. |
