I heard that after December all passports for EU countries will not be valid! Is this true?

Great question-I live in Greece and hold a UK passport. I know all Greeks have to have the new passport by next year but as far as I know, UK passport holders don't have to yet! |

No. Not here in the UK at least.
I extremely doubt it anyway.
I haven't heard anything about it (live in UK, and yes we are in europe, even if it doesn't appear so) and something like that would likely be advertised everywhere and be on the news alot so if i haven't heard, and if you have to ask here (so obviously haven't seen it on the news or anything, just heard a rumour) i would say it's not true. if you plan on traveling to the US ? then yes .you will have to have a new biometric / electronic passport .otherwise ? there are no new laws on EU passports ..............
All EU citizens in the 15 member states, with the exception of the Greeks, can enter the United States without obtaining a visa.
