Does my residency in the UK count in apllying for a Spanish citizenship?

Married to a Spanish, used to live in Spain for almost two years. I need to have three years residency before I can apply to be Spanish citizen (if living in Spain). Now I am living in UK, does my residency here in the UK be counted as residency in Spain (since both are EU countries)?
