Does the Australian embassy NOT allow P.O. box address?

I want to visit Australia on a tourist visa next year yet. I've spoken to some of my friends who have been there. One of them told me that they will ask for the current address that I live in to send documents, etc. However, I was wondering if there was any way at all for all documents to be sent to my P.O. box instead?

It's just that I have no privacy in this house. There was an incident here where people were snooping around reading my sister's mail. I really would not want to lose any important document because of this. Any tips? Information? Thanks so much!

Documents are couriered back to you. Ask which courier's service they use, call them up and specify that whatever documents you expect should be handed over only to YOU!!!
