Dual citizenship

I was born and raised in Germany and immigrated to the USA when I was 18. I became a US citizen about 10 years later. Back then I did not have the choice to keep my German citizenship, i.e. have dual citizenship. Is there any way to now apply for German citizenship, while living in the USA?
