EB-3 Visa retrogression/backlog?

I am a UK citizen looking to obtain an EB3 Visa, although I am very aware of the current retrogression (or 'backlog' situation). However, I've also heard from several sources that this is only affecting those from China, India or the Philippines. Is this completely true? Will the backlog (of about 5 to 6 years) affect me when I apply?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes it affects you too. Just even more for Indians and Chinese. My I-140 was submitted this fall (I am on H-1B now) and I do not expect to see my green card for at least 5 more years.

Have the employer submit an H-1B application for you on April 1. If you get that, you can start here on October 1.
