ECR problem with few countries.....?

Hi,
As an Indian Citizen, I believe that to go to few countries like US, Canada, Australia I don't need ECNR. I have ECR in my passport.

However while going to US, I have to change flight in Hong Kong (3 hour waiting time in Hing Kong). I'll be flying from Bangalore to Singapore, Singapore to Hong Kong and from there to San Francisco.

Will the Bangalore officials create problems that I have to go through Hong Kong (Hong Kong is not exempt from the ECNR rule)

The government of India recently eased its regulations for ECNR. You may get it now if you are even 12th passed. So do not worry. Apply to the Passport Office and it is a simple process. You just have to fill the form, paste photograph, attach copy of your educational qualification certificate and pay the requisite fee to obtain ECNR status.

I am Passport consultant based in West Delhi. Now getting ECNR stamp in passport is very easy. You can apply for the same from RPO of your state.

Do I need to take ECNR if I am going to Singapore on EP? Hi, I would be travelling on an employment pass (similar to work permit) to Singapore. My passport is ECR stamped. Do I need to get my passport ECNR stamped before I travel? Any help is welcome, Thanks in Advance!!
