cousin's F1 Visa got rejected first time.
Now he got bank loan approval.
There were no normal visa appointments.
Can he go for emergency appointment? His joing is in 50 days only.

"Emergency" appointments are generally meant for visits that involve the death, injury or illness of a family member.
On the other hand, most US consulates do their best to see student visa applicants much faster than tourist applicants since they are aware that many students are on tight schedules. Have you checked with the consulate's call center or web site, or with the link below, to see how long the backlog is for student visa applications? It certainly should be under 50 days:

Call up the nearest embassy and ask them to give you an email address for emergency appointments. I did that last year and in 24 hours I was in the embassy. However, you have to show them what is urgent and they will ask you to provide proof of papers. Health problems, lose of parent or friend and etc. |

how about going through a service such as CIBT.com ?? TraVisa ? Perhaps they could advise/ provide direction. I know that they are very behind in processing everything. There is a class action law suit for people that have paid expediating fees and did not get expediated service. I would keep trying / calling for appointments. I would also ask if you have to make appointments in only one City. For example, there are U.S. offices located in Houston, New York, San Fran, etc. etc. Ask the agent to check ALL of the cities for you for appointments. A little prayer might also help :-) |
