F-1 Visa Stamping question?

Hi,

I recently changed my status to F-1(student visa) while in the U.S.A. I was planning on going to my native country in the near future. What are the chances of me not getting back into the U.S.A?

I am currently attending the university with the valid I-20 as a full time student.

Please give me as much detail as possible!
Additional Details
I forgot to mention I am going to have to get my passport stamped before coming back into the U.S.A

Your I-94 that was issued as an F-1 states "D/S" which is CIS jargon for "duration of status." This means that as long as you remain in the status for which the I-94 was issued, you're eligible for admission. (We will assume that no other events have occurred which would render you ineligible, such as a felony conviction.

As every non-immigrant has to demonstrate ties to a foreign country, your chances of not being admitted are there, though slim.

Everyone who is admitted gets an immigration stamp. Yours should say where you were admitted and your length of admission will be "D/S" like your I-94.

More- If you changed your status to F-1, that means you were admitted as another status, probably B-2. Having accomplished this change in status, someone in Immigration decided you're worth issuing the change of status, so I'm guessing your chances of being excluded are slim.

As long as the duration of your visit home doesn't wreck your student status, I think you'll have few problems.
