just want to know in getting philippine passport is it neccessary to get nbi clearance first?

No, not at all. Just go to the nearest National Bureau of Investigation office (best to go to the Province, as they are not jam-packed like the NBI office is in Manila). You will have to go back about two or three times, get fingerprinted and answer a list of questions. Best to take all your personal information like birth certificate, school transcript, driver's license, school ID, etc., maybe a Mayor's statement on you, or the Barangay Captain's statement, and Baptismal certificate...anything you have that would be helpful for the NBI to know who you are. Make copies of everything you have, and if they want them, give the copies only. It's easy...the NBI does this every hour they are open, and good luck. |
