Going to US from Canada with foreign passport?

I live in Montreal, Canada and wish to visit the US. The problem is that I still don't have my Canadian citizenship, and thus am only a permanent resident. However, I recently learned that Lithuania, the country where I come from, will be added to the visa waiver program. So this leads me to my question - would I be able to travel from Canada to the US using my Lithuanian passport?

Yes, you will, probably starting mid November if you hold a new biometric passport issued after August 2006, and register prior to travel for an online authorization under the ESTA program.
