Going to marry finacee' from Mauritius. Need to know exact details to bring him home to me in October.?

Do I have to meet him in person first then I come back alone to USA or can I bring him back then apply for fiancee' visa? Or should I apply for a work visa for him first to have him here with me in October? Want to marry in USA after October. Next year we wish to go to Mauritius to have traditional hindu wedding ceremony.

marriage visa & fiance visa's both take about same time. i married spouse from mauritius in march several years ago & got visa 6-7 months later. You do have to meet in person before fiance visa application. If you want the fast track & if he can get employment visa, then do the employment visa first (its the fastest visa approved because we americans love business & money), and then get married in usa & apply for change of status. Immigration should have no problem with this as long as employement is real & marriage is real... for example he really goes to job & does job & you live together as huband wife once married... good luck |

1. Yes, you have to meet in person before you can apply for a fiance visa.
2. Forget October. It's going to take about a year to get the fiance visa starting from the time you file the paperwork. You can't file until you've met.

For a fiance visa you file I-129F, I-134 and G-325A with the USCIS. Be sure to include the evidence that you've met, such as pictures of the two of you together, plane tickets, hotel receipts, copy of your passport showing travel to Mauritius, etc...
