does any one know whether if the US consulate in hyderabad, started functioning in taking appointments..
is it true ,that this will greatly reduce crowd in chennai consulate, which makes it easier to get appointments
in chennai consulate...

please let me know,as i am looking forward to go for my h1b stamping at chennai consulate.....

The Hyderabad Consulate of the US is fully functional.However it is a moot point as to whether that office will accept the Chennai office work
load.The Hyderabad Consulate will probably only service AP applicants
If a person from Chennai tries to bypass that office and wishes to get the work done at Hyderabad merely to expedite,the Hyderabad office may even summarily reject the application.Take your chances but be
prepared for all eventualities.I would suggest that you get your H1B stamping done at Chennai.Good Luck.
