Help, my FIANCE has NO birth certificate!?

What alternative can he bring to his VISA interview at the US Embassy of New Delhi with no birth certificate, he has a current passport but that is it!

He should be able to get another from the issuing authority. I did. At least that's the way it works in the states.

Some places may not issue birth certificates. I think that was a problem a century ago with European immigrants coming here.

Ask the embassy what they will take for a substitute; but they might be pretty tight about that since 09/11. I know they want to at least make it look like they are being careful.

Sounds like the passport is his best bet.

I don't know how he received a passport without a birth certificate.
