I was wondering, if you are in u.s.a and if the passport was to expire can you apply for new passport in your designated country of residence back home? eg, Australia or UK and other countries where came from.. One of the embassy consulate you are citizen with or would you have trouble getting a new passport from your country because your not at home but are in u.s.a trying to renew your passport.

You can inquire at your nearest Consulate or Embassy if they can renew your passport while you are here in the US.
