How can I begin teaching myself about Foreign Policy?

I want to learn about Foreign Policy in the United States but I don't know where to start or what I should know before I start. Any suggestions? I just want to understand it. Is it written somewhere is is it a complicated mess?

Yea, I would start by reading Foriegn Policy magazine. It's very informative, but it also makes everything easy to understand and adds a bit of humor so international relations won't seem so boring.
Also, most community colleges have an Intro to International Relations class. I took it my freshman year if college and ended up liking it so much, I majored in IR!

The best place to look is the Sunday Times, it will take you a week to get through, but you will have read up on what is going on around the world. It has said that if you have no education at all but Read the Times, you will be able to keep your own on any topic. |

The first principle of dealing with other people as a representative of your People, is to know YOUR PEOPLE.
I'd start by doing research on the RECENT History of your people, say going back to the invention of modern Liberalism with the President JFK Prison Commision Report published in 1961. This detailed that Conservative Courts that are not carefully regulated toss out the Constitution and kill people at hard labor, without trials.
Then I'd look into what Reagan and the Bush dynasty did to reinstate the very conditions bespoke of in that report.
Cause when GWB started killing peopole on chain gangs, it was after nearly 20 years of our nation outlawing chain gangs.
Then I'd get my head around the fact that a free enterprise system is an economic system practiced by what they would have called in the free world in 1961 OUR SYSTEM of economics, and that of the free world. BUT a free market economy, like practiced in North Korea is not but a Communist system of governance by control over the means of production.
Deadbeat Daddy laws have made this nation a free market system where any judge can unopposed and as there is deliberate secrecy written in control who has a business license. |
