im going to call the lady and say
hey (name)
how are you, enjoying the snow?
i feel stupid because i called you yesterday checking if thursday was still on but apparently my dads planing on taking me shopping in the states for x-mas tomorow and tomoorws the only time he can go so
what can i say after this??

Two things:
1} I would all her and say "I'm really sorry-- my father's made other plans I didn't know about, but here's the number of two of my friends who are both babysitters, if you want to call them."
2} I wouldn't call the embassy or consulate (although you did ask the question in this section). |

Simply say to her this--- "I am very sorry about Thursday. I was looking forward to babysitting. Unfortunately, something has come up and I have to cancel. I called you as soon as I possibly could to let you know. Please call me again sometime if you need a sitter. Thank you & good-bye."
It is NOT neccessary that you tell her what your plans with your Dad are, but you can tell her if you want to.
In that case, just say that your "Dad is taking you shopping but he forgot to let you know ahead of time. You are letting her know now and hope she will call you again sometime.
Good luck! (oh and you can always tell your Dad that you had plans to babysit and that you cannot cancel on the lady at such short notice.) |
