The procedure for the attestation of education certificates is firstly get attested by the Notary Public, preferably from your area, and then contact Ministries of Education and Human Resources (of India) for their attestations. Once you have done all these formalities, you can contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further attestation.
Your presence is not mandatory to complete the formalities. I would suggest you to do this through a reliable agent to save your time.

Neither you have stated what certificates are to be attested, nor where you are currently located. Assuming that you are at Delhi, make a visit to the office of the MEA located at Patiala House, near India Gate, and make enquiries at the Counter, and avoid all the touts thronging the place. |
