How do I get a job with the Canadian embassy here in Manila?

Most Embassies of all kinds do employ and rely on a large number of local staff for non-officer positions. If you read over the Canadians' website, they explain that if you a non-Canadian who is interested in working for them, you should contact the Embassy directly:

It states,
"Are you a non-Canadian interested in working at one of our embassies, high commissions or consulates abroad? If so, please contact them directly."

A link will then take you to the contact information for the Manila embassy's contact details at:

I do agree with the above answerers in the sense that they will require you to have excellent references and may ask for security screening too. Nonetheless, people DO find employment there, so good luck with your efforts!

Normally embassies in the philippines do not let their own job ads show that they are looking for workers, but just that they are a normal company. The chances for you to get a job there is minimal if you do not know someone who already works there or in higher places that can recommend you.

I'd have to say I pretty much agree with this response. Most positions would be filled by Canadians or by people with a contact already at the embassy. Go to their website and give them a call if you want the inside scoop.
