How does one obtain a visa in the U.S?

I have a friend who came here 2 months old and graduated from high school in the U.S. He was born in Mexico and i was wondering if there's a way he can obtain a visa in this country to attend college without going back to Mexico since he has a U.S. diploma.

Hi, sorry, Teekno's wrong. Sounds like he's been an illegal all this time? If so, yikes, he's in trouble.

There's no way for him to obtain a visa of any kind from within the U.S. -- he has to return to his country of citizenship -- i.e. Mexico. Having a U.S. diploma is irrelevant.

One does not obtain a US Visa in the United States.

If your friend is here ILLEGALLY, he is an ILLEGAL ALIEN. If he is under 18, we will not hold that against him, but he needs to leave. Any time spent in the United States after obtaining the age of 18, can and will be used in determining how long he will be banned from entering the United States legally.

If he's been in the US since he was two months old, he should be in a good position to apply for citizenship, or at least a green card.
