You cannot travel internationally without a passport. The aircraft carriers would not allow you to board an airplane without a passport (and a visa if required) since they would have to pay fines for transporting passengers without proper documentation. Your U.S. Green Card is not of any value in Europe.
As a citizen of Venezuela you would need a passport of Venezuela which must be applied from a Consulate of Venezuela in the United States.

All you have to do is go to the Venezuela Embassy and renew your passport, That is all. To travel abroad, you must check with the country that you are going to see if you need a Visa.. Coming back to the U.S. is not problem because you are a legal resident.
If you are a legal resident ( Green Card) for more than 5 years, you can become an American Citizen and you do not need Visa to go in the majority of the countries of the world.
Even if you become a U.S. citizen can still have a valid Venezuelan passport...Eso se llama doble cuidadania. |

Hi Dani! A passport is your travel identification. You will need this to enter any country. Some countries will ask you to get a visa so you may enter their country. It all depends on the kind of passport you carry.
Two things. You can apply for naturalization as you seem to have been in the US for quite some time. After you become a citizen, then you can apply for a US passport. But this procedure may take a while.
If you are rearing to go soon, then just renew your Venezuelan passport in the their embassy nearest you. Now you may need a visa to enter some countries you plan to visit. You will now have to apply for one at the embassy of the country you want to go to. |
