How does you get a Tourist Visa to India when the High Comisioner does not accept cheques Postal order or cash

I applied for the visa like Thomas Cook said and how the website says but they returned my postal order and said they do not accept postal orders for tourist visas HELP

You need to go to the embassy closest to you in person or i think you can get a friend to go in with your passport and the application which can be downloaded of the website for you
If you do go through to the embassy the visa section is open only in the morning to hand in the application then you come back for it in the afternoon so get there early

Just been looking on this website and it says you can pay an agent to do it for you but it costs about £80.
The site is good and it might be an idea posting you question here.

You go there in person and ask.
The Indian High Commission in London does accept Postal Orders and cash. Credit/Debit cards and personal cheques are however not accepted.

Indian High Commission in London accepts all payments except debit and credit cards.If you are sending application to India,you can send by means of international bank draft.
Postal orders and cheques are subject to local laws and as such they are not accepted.

They must have a good reason for not accepting the payments as you have described. Contact the issuing authority and ask them direct for an acceptable alternative method of making the necessary payment fee.
