the normal authorized stay given by the airport inspectors is 6 months. it is also possible to ask for an extension after arriving in the US, as long as it's submitted before the original authorized stay expires.

if you mean US, then the answer is, It depends on the officer that you meet on entering the US. 6 months is the most likely

The Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry has the exclusive right to allow or deny entry to anyone even if they are in possession of a valid visitor's visa. Accordingly, they also have the sole decision to determine how long a person can be allowed to stay in the US and that would be stamped on the persons I-94 card. It will depend on the reason for visiting. The maximum stay that is allowed is 6 months.
