How long does it take to get my british passport?

i have a nigerian passport but was born and have lived in london all my life. Because of the change in laws I had to hav a nationalisation ceremony last year. I'm going to amsterdam in april...how long will it take to get my british passport if i apply for it now??

(this is not a renewal, i'm applying for the 1st tym)

hey, i was in a similar situation, im going paris start of feb, and i only sent my application off start of this month. i did it through the post office check and send service which cost 7 quid. the passport people got back to me within a week but unfortuantly i missed sumin out. i then sent the missing document and got a reply from them within 2 days which was great. i got an interview 2moz and passport should be here by next weekend so its great, i was panicking be4 then so aslong as u get the post office 2 check it all and make sure you send off ur mums and dad marriage cert and their birth certs if their not british. as we are not in peak time it will take about 4 weeks so do it right and ul have it back in time
