How long will it take me to get an EU passport.....?

I was born and raised in the U.S. My parents are directly from Greece. I know that this makes me elligible for an EU passport. How long should it take for me to get one?

Is there such thing as a EU passport? I know that if you go to the UK directly then it will take 10 days.

Each EU country has there own passport laws

First you need to prove your Greek parentage,you need their birth and marriage and your birth certificates then you get in touch with the Greek embassy find out what photo and anything else you need and if everything is in order you should have your passport quite quickly.For anyone who is not sure what an EU passport is, it is a passport issued by each of the European member countries they are wine in colour but bear the emblem of the individual country (Ireland/harp) (British/royal insignia) and so on, if you travel on an EU passport there is no visa requirement for other member countries, but you may need a visa for non-member. hope that helps.
