How many days it take to get an unmarried certificate/ No Objection Certificate from Indian Embassy abroad?

Hi,

I intend to marry a foriegn girl from Russian continent. I have heard that now-a-days; unmarried certificate and No Objection Certificate is asked outside home country.

I tried to get it from my home district but the district administration is too fussy and its validity is said to be just six months. I just want to know how our Indian Embassy staff take up such issues; how much time they may take to issue such certificates; how much charges etc. incase I wish to apply there at Indian Embssay before the submission of intention of marriage !!!!??

Please help me out if anyone has gone through this process or know about these procedures. I dont have much time to run after the administration officials.
