Hmmmm that was an interesting answer. You cannot get it on arrival...... It depends alot on what country you are from, if you have visited before, if you are here on a visitors visa now, etc. But it takes at least 4-8 months to be approved from the time of submission. How do I know this? Because I and my husband are going through the process now. But with the help of a very well known immigration lawyer. The average time is 6 months...IF there are no flaws in the application. Even the failure to use the proper color of ink to not using capital letters where indicated, can cause long delays. The application will be put back on the bottom of the pile. So be sure everything is correct before submitting it. Best of Luck to you.
