Basically i m a greencard holder and i have also applied for US Citizenship. There is requirement that a green card holder must reside in US for 60 months to get the US passport. but a person can travel outside US for a certain time period without affecting the citizenship requirement status. i just need to clairfy that what is the maimum number of days i could stay outsude US without affecting the limit of 60 Months stay at US.

In terms of Continuous Residence for US citizenship purposes, If you leave the United States for more than 6 months, you are no longer eligible.

I am an american citizen (passport 460174619) visiting Argentina since october 29 of last year, with my wife who is a legal US resident.
