Years ago when I was a MSG in Morocco, we had five Marines. One NCOIC, four watch standers.

As another Answer stated, it does depend on the size of the embassy, such as London and Paris. Then there is of course the geographical location of the embassy in regards to possible terrorists' threats.

You future Marines, if you get a chance for this duty, take it. It was the greatest time in my life for so many reasons.
