can anyone tell me please how can i obtain Germany transit visa, as i m international student in united states , and citizen of india. im goin back on 8th of feb, before that i need to obtain transit visa.

You do not need a visa if you are travelling back to India after a legally stay in the United States and you are able to stay in the international area of a German transit airport. Those are Düsseldorf (06:00 - 21:00 hours), Frankfurt (24 hrs), Hamburg (04:30 - 23:30 hours), Munich (24 hrs).
If you plan to transit on other means you would need to apply for a transit or visitors visa at the German consulate in charge of the state or county you are residing.

If you are not going to leave the airport in Germany, you do not need a visa, as long as you don't leave the airport.
If you do leave the airport, a visa is required, no matter how long you are leaving. You can obtain a visa from the German Embassy or Consulate in the US. I'm not sure, but you might be able to obtain one at the airport in Germany, though it is not advised. Some internet sites also offer visa processing.
Call and check in with the embassy or consulate with Germany first, and see how you can get your visa. |
