I am working in LLC Company, abudhabi as Electrical engineer for past 1-1/2 years. My employment contract is limited contract from 2007 to 2011.I resigned my job on 28.04.2008. i need to go back to india in a couple of months' time. The notice period is not mentioned in my appointment letter as well as on my Employment contract. However i have given one-month notice period.
But my employer is not ready to leave me on or before the month of December 2008. Please advise me what are the options open to me to go as soon as possible.

1 Month notice is deemed sufficient by law, if you want to resign and go home.
Remember, you will get a 1-Year Ban on re-entering the country, if you think you can come back and take up another job offer.
Since you are on a Limited contract, I doubt that there is any provision for a free return ticket from your employer. Be sure he will also do his best to give you as least as possible whatever dues are due for you like 45 days leave since you worked a year and a half.

Approach the Ministry of Labour, they will sort out your problem or consult an immigration lawyer.

Is there a labour board or labour law? If so, contact those people and ask what can happen to you break your contract. If there is not, take your contract to a lawyer and ask. If you have to break your contract, you should make sure they can not do anything to you because of it.
