I-130 petition- married under 21?

My mom filed I-130 for me and my sister- unmarried under 21. But my lawyer said that we would have to wait because we entered the U.S. illegally. So, would we have to wait for the Dream Act or other laws before our cases are approved?

Because you entered illegally, you must return to your country of citizenship and wait for processing. There is no way to change your status while you remain in the US. You'd better hurry up and get out because you are racking up time on your bar to reentry.

You should have left before you turned 18. Then your parents' illegal acts would not have been held against you and they could have petitioned for you without you being subject to any bar. You would have been able to get approved and reenter faster if you had left sooner. Get going now. The longer you wait to return to your country, the longer you wait to return to US.
