I'm a minor and i'm about to apply for a US Visa. is it possible?

I will also be travelling alone. Will I have a high chance of getting a US Visa? Or will my parents be required to get a US Visa too so that I could get one?

It'd almost entirely depend on what is the purpos of your visit. E.g. if it's for a tourist visa, probably it's hard to get it alone unless travelling along with a formal group. If it's a student visa, or maybe you are an athlete traveling for training/competition, or a performer coming for shows, then you may be able to get the visa independent of your parents.

I'd suggest you to contact the US Embassy in Phillipines (http://manila.usembassy.gov/) to find out in detail.

It depends on the type of visa. A student visa would certainly apply. On for travel would also depending on your age and the country you are coming from. The easiest and most correct answer would be found on the US Immigration and Naturalization web site.

Visa eligibility for minors age 20 and under is typically based upon the qualifications of their parents or legal guardians, who must submit their applications.Exceptions will be made only in cases where it is impossible for a parent/guardian to appear for interview..
You will also need sponsors from US if the schools ask you..

and for students wanting a visa;
There are non-immigrant visa categories for both academic and vocational studies. If you are accepted by an educational institution in the US, you should receive an I-20 form that allows you to apply for one of these visas. However, student applicants must also be able to demonstrate they are bona fide students and have the necessary financial resources in place to support the education.

I am guessing you are travelling to the United States from your country. You will then have a passport from your country and maybe an exit visa. You will buy a visa when you land in the USA international airports. Or maybe you are walking from Mexico or by bus from Canada. I guess there is nothing we know here .
