I Am A Zambian Passport Holder Living In The UK, am I eligible for a Visa to Australia or the USA?

I plan on going on holiday, maybe later this year or early next year. This will be my first holiday and I was thinking I would love to go to New York. or visit Perth in Australia... Info on whether I can get a visiting Visas for these countries will be much appreciated. :)

I wouldn't think there would be any problem in obtaining tourist visas for either of those countries. You might have to go to their Embassy in London to obtain the visa but I can't see any problem, why would there be?
The main thing ot be aware of is that there are liable to be certain responsibilities placed on you, in terms of travel insurance. They will want to see some good, rock solid travel insurance certificate, from a reputable, internationally recognised health insurance provider.
After all,.I bet plenty of Americans go shooting wild animals in Zambia.... |

Yes you can. You just need to visit the Embassy in london.

I can't speak for Australia, but depending on how long you've lived in the UK, what your visa status is, your personal situation i.e. income, family, property, etc, it could be tough getting the US visa.
You mention it's your "first holiday," so you sound young, and perhaps not that well established in the UK? Coming from an impoverished country like Zambia, from which lots of people are forced to immigrate, both legally and otherwise, you'll have to "prove" to the US consular officer who will interview you that you'll come back to the UK. |
