I am Harinarayan Tiwari working at Dubai in U.A.E. and having a valid Indian passport.Is there any procedure to renew it faster.

You have to go personally to the Indian Consulate in Bur Dubai and meet with the Vice Consul there. He is a very accommodating and responsive gentleman and never says no. You can drum up some excuse and say you want to renew your passport very urgently.

He will sanction it under the Tatkal scheme wherein you will get you passport renewal stamp within 24 hours !!

There are 2 drawbacks though 1. You will have to pay a huge amount for this service and 2. You get it renewed for only 1 year instead of the normal 10 years.
