I am Iranian and my family name is similar to one of the governmental people ?

I have rejected student visa form Canadian embassy , does any onet hink that similarity between my family and one of the governmental would make problem? Isn;t there in Canada different families with the same spelling?

i doubt that's the reason your student visa application was denied. it could be a lot of reasons but rejection based on family name is unheard of.

besides, millions of people in north america share the same family. they're not all related. like smith or jones.
