I am planning to travel to New Caledonia and I was wondering if I still need to get a tourist visa. I heard once you have a green card there is no need for it. Please I need some answers ASAP.

Yes you do still need a visa, as you US Green Card does not affect your immigration status for most other countries.
Contact the embassy of France for details on how to get one. |

your green card is valid in the US,but does not take away the fact that you have to apply for a visa for many countries;
