I am a US Citizen, How do i bring my brother here?

He is in pakistan. I heard if i file i-130 for him it may take upto 10 years for him to come? Does anyone know any faster way for me to get him here. I also going to put i-130 for my mom. Some says he can come along with my mom ifs it true how will that be possible. INS doesnot answer theses question when called them. Plz Help

1. Your mom can apply immediately. She is not subjected to visa restriction. No waiting time, only processing time. She should be able to come within 6 months of application.

2. No way for your brother to go faster unless he can establish relationship with the United States.

You need to file one form I-130 for your brother and a separate form I-130 for your mother. They have fourth preference to get an immigrant visa number(alien number) so it may take a couple of years( 10 is like the worst case scenario).
I've heard of cases where visas were granted in a year. And one of my friend brought both of her parents from Dominican Republic in less than 3 years.
Writing to your congressman is useful in some cases to accelerate processing. You don't lose anything by trying. Good Luck!

You could always contact the Congressman in your district. They will help you with this or at least get you in touch with the right people.

Go to immigration and start the paper work process...as for speeding up the process I dont know...they are going to have to wait their turn.

you can't fasten it up yes it does take up to 10 years.

Make an invitation letter for the US Embassy that you are inviting him and prepare the supporting documents like ur pay slip, working certificate etc. tell ur brother to apply for a tourist visa, i think that is the fastest way for ur brother to come and visit you in US. Good luck!
