No, you cannot work on a tourist visa.

Can an American admitted to the Philippines as a tourist work while visiting? No. The same is true in the US - working would violate your non-immigrant status, and such a violation could cause great problems for you in the future if you ever wanted to return to the US, either as a non-immigrant or an immigrant.

no, you can't work here. you are on tourist visa, which means you are only here for a vacation. if you work, you are on violation of that visa... which could lead to deportation and possibly a 10 year ban.

besides, you do not have a social security number. you need that in order to be employed. at the least, you need a work visa in order to be issued a social security number.

and work visas are hard to come by. you may apply for one if you get an employer while you're here... but you need to return to the philippines once your tourist visa expires. it doesn't give you permission to stay here and wait for the approval.
