It's entirely based on your current citizenship. Which country are you from? Do your best to make it appear that you're really just going for a trip, and not to stay here to live. Have a trip already planned out. Where you are going to go, where you are going to stay, etc. Show that you have ties in Spain, or wherever, and don't indicated in anyway that'd you'd be interested in staying in the USA past your visa. This is best done, again, by showing strong ties outside of the USA, which would most likely keep you from wanting to stay in the US. |

Embassies are not strict or lenient about granting visas. They have very strict guidelines. They are also experienced in sniffing out people who are not telling the entire truth on their application. If you have all the requirements in order then you will get a visa. If you get denied once then next time is going to be a lot harder. I suggest you put your best foot forward. |
