I have some questions about the visa waiver program from the US.?

I will be visiting the UK from July- January, and my stay is 170 days (10 less than the maximum 180 to allow leeway for any travel delays). While I'm there, will I be able to leave the UK and visit other countries in Europe and still return to the UK (as long as it's within my 180 days from my initial entry to the country)? I have plans to go to Oktoberfest, as well as a few other countries, but don't know if I'll be allowed back into the UK once I leave.
Secondly, how long do I have to leave the country for before I'm allowed to come back in on another visa waiver? Is it 6 months, or is that decided on a case-by-case basis?

Additional Details
I will be staying with my boyfriend, who I've been dating for over a year, and have proof of our relationship. I also have plenty of funds to support myself while I'm there, so I have no doubt I will be allowed entry. That's not my question. I'm wondering whether or not I'll be allowed to travel to another country in Europe and then re-enter the UK before returning to my original country of origin.

The Visa waiver is for people that are just visiting. Once in Europe you can travel freely. There is no waiting time for your return, but just expect to be asked more questions be boarder control the more you enter on this visa.
In short, Relax, stay within Immigration Law and visit the UK immigration website and read up on the Law. |
