From the passport number, based on the alpha-numeric, it is possible to determine nationality of the issuing country. However, any information contained in the passport or the passport application is considered confidential.

Passport information are confidential unless requested for valid reasons.

No you cannot. Everything from a passport, including places the person has visited is 100% confidential. The information can only be used for official purposes and if the people working there access records inapporiately, they will be punished. Just heard that the other day as someone was accessing the passport records of other people.
