I lost my mail..how can I find it?

I changed my address recently, and I didn't inform my embassy.
they mailed me my check which is worth $5000,
I am really worried and in need of that money, but I won't be able to get that check because they already mailed it to my old address.
is there any way to get that check?
because there is no way to call the embassy, no way..

A check worth that much should have been registered requiring a signature or direct deposit to an account. Best way is to inform the embassy for them to make a stop payment. See what they can do for you. Else, hope some good samaritan will come along.**
