I need information .regarding ex offenders and traveling.what are the requirements to go to england ?

i have a friend that is just got out and has freinds and a girlfriend in england.family is if=n itlay and hungary.he tried to ask the embassy but they don't answer back right away.so i am trying to help him find answers to see what steps he needs to follow to be able to find out if he can go into these other countries. where does he begin?

it all depends on the offense committed and parole conditions ,
if he is out of parole ? he should be able to travel, like i said ,it all depends on the offense, and some countries are very picky about ex-offenders ,
has he tried to apply for a visa? more than likely they will ask about police records ,if he has paid his dues ? it should be finished ,but your police records do follow you unfortunately .
you omitted to mention if your friend is a US citizen ? if he is ? he will not need a visa for the UK,

No, you do not need a visa.
for Iraly ,he does not need a visa either .
nor for Hungary .
now? if his parole is over? he should be able to travel as all other citizen .
if he is NOT a US citizen? he will have to have a visa still depending on his country of origin ; if you would like to come back to mention his citizenship? and perhaps some others comments?

If he paid his debt to society (served his full sentence), and if he can obtain a passport, or if his was returned, he should be able to go. If his sentence was jail time and early out with parole, then he has to check with his parole officer. Depending upon the crime and stipulations for parole, it may just mean filling out some paper work.

With justice systems being different depending upon the country, the info above is if he did jail/prison time in the US.

The United Nations is there to help you *be adamant *although they are a government institution ,they have a responsibility to assist all people who are having the issues that you have.Don't give up ,they will try to pass the buck and just don't allow it .Find someone who gives a F** and get their name so you can get back to them.
