I need to apply for a working visa in the uk.I am from South Africa. What supporting documents will I need?

Two picture ID's for Example: A driver's license, and A birth certificate.
Proof of immunizations shots. Or doctor records proving you've had them.
A good set of finger-prints, which can usually be obtained by your local government or police station.
Some Money or Traveler's Checks,,,enough to live on for a period of oh say,,, 6 months,,,,,or so..... till you see how the job goes. A couple of Picture ID Credit cards,,,,,,
Proof of any medical insurance,,,,or a medical card....which shows your ins. agent's name and address.
A working "Dell Lap Top" !!! A must.
A pre-paid phone card, till your able to get a cell phone.
A social security number.
That's just to name a few, I'm sure there is more stuff. That's just all I can personally think of.
Oh yeah, and if your flying,,,, do not take a pocket knife, razor, or any other sharp instrument....just plan on purchasing those items once your in the UK.....

The best thing to do is to get one of those agency people to help you. If you can't afford them, here's a few documents I can remember I had to give:

3 month's bank statements & the last month's statement that your giving must reflect that you have between R 15 000 & R 25 000 in your account.
3 month's payslips if you are employed
A letter from your employer stating the time period that you worked there.
If a family member is going to give you the money, they have to write a letter stating that they are giving it to you as a gift.
You have to have proof that you will have medical & travel insurance in the UK.
Give a detailed itinerary of where you plan on going while you're there.
It helps if you include a provisional airline ticket booking that shows when you plan on returning.
2 ID photos in full colour
A South African passport that's valid for the whole time you plan on staying in the UK.

Go to www.britishvisas.org or www.britain.org to see the rest. It costs around R 3000 at the moment. Good luck.

in order to get a work visa , you must first find a job offer in the UK , then your employer will do the rest for you ; what sort of job are you looking for ? would you like to tell it ?
