It will probably take seven years for him to be able to come here permanently. I would suggest that you go to the office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, apply for a Visa for him. But my experience has been that it isn't going to be successful unless he is a refugee from Pakistan or something.
They have pretty much shut down the service for immigrants. About the only people who can come here are refugees anymore. |

you should contact a good immigration lawyer to get the right answer. I think it's going to be quite tough.. |

It sounds as if you are talking about marriage, yet you speak only in terms of helping someone and say nothing of love. This would be considered a sham marriage.
EDIT: There is no immigrant visa for the type of situation you describe. |

You would have to be his sponsor. Here's the immigration website address. You can e-mail questions to them. You can find out what they require there as well as the fees. They usually answer within 24 hours. The site also has all the forms needed to obtain a visa. I used this site when my husband was applying for his visa. Hope this helps. Good luck. |

The world is full of good people who would benefit from the opportunities that would be available to them if they could live in the US. Unfortunately, we can't take them all. US immgration laws - like every other country's immigration laws - are very specific and very strict. If your friend can't qualify for an immigrant visa, he will not be able to go to the US. |

It's simply not possible. You cannot sponsor him for an immigrant visa. And, since his intention would be to live in the U.S. on a permanent basis, he is not eligible for a non-immigrant visa. |
